PRESQUE ISLE – Edith G. Slipp, 91, wife of the late Harold Slipp, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at the Caribou Rehab and Nursing Home. She was born on December 8, 1921, in St. Stephen, N.B., Canada, the daughter of Horace and Alice (Matheson) Stewart.
Edith graduated from Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. She taught school for 30 years at Fort Fairfield High School. Edith enjoyed playing bridge, knitting, and doing cross word puzzles.
She is survived by her son, Robert Slipp and his wife, Vicki of Cambridge, Nova Scotia; a sister, Betty Way of Cincinnati, OH; a favorite niece, Pamela W. Roy of Cincinnati, OH, and a nephew, Stewart Way of Snellville, GA; two grandchildren, Laura Patterson of Weston, Nova Scotia, and Peter Slipp of Halifax, Nova Scotia; two great-grandchildren, Ellen and Alyviah Patterson.
