Train tickets sell out quickly
PRESQUE ISLE — Tickets to this Saturday’s passenger train excursions to Scopan Lake and back, sponsored by Maine Northern Railway, TAMC and WAGM-TV, are sold out.
Pre-sale of the 400 available tickets went on sale May 13 at noon and were all spoken for by May 16.
Three passenger cars, which will be brought in for the event from MNR’s sister rail company NB Southern Railway, headquartered in St. John, New Brunswick, will carry 200 passengers on each run. The train will be powered by two of MNR’s signature green locomotives, which have become a familiar sight throughout northern Maine as the rail company successfully continues to grow its business in the region.
Proceeds from the event will benefit children’s health care in The County.
