Holbrook receives MPA Principal’s Award
FORT FAIRFIELD — Sarah Holbrook of Fort Fairfield, a senior at Fort Fairfield Middle/High School, has been selected to receive the 2013 Principal’s Award, announced Principal Tanya Belanger. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
“Throughout Sarah Holbrook’s years at Fort Fairfield Middle/High School, she has distinguished herself in the classroom, by always challenging herself to go above and beyond in all of her classes and by taking advantage of every opportunity to excel and grow academically. She has also been a tremendous leader in the school and the community, through her involvement in our school chapter of the National Honor Society, in which she is currently the president. She very much deserves the honor and recognition that this award brings,” noted Belanger.
Sarah, Mrs. Belanger and other award winners and their principals attended an Honors Luncheon at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor on April 6. The Honors Luncheon recognized these outstanding students with the presentation of an individual plaque and the awarding of five $1,000 scholarships in the names of Horace O. McGowan and Richard W.
