Shaw earns honor
EASTON, MASS. — Assumption College hockey player Brennen Shaw has been named to the 2012-2013 Northeast-10 Winter Academic All-Conference Team.
The team 
was voted on by a committee of athletic administrators and faculty athletic representatives representing each of the 16 Northeast-10 member institutions.
Brennen Shaw, a sophomore from Presque Isle, finished second on the team in points with 18 on five goals and 13 assists. He posted five multi-point games, one shorthanded goal and ranked 17th in the league in points and 11th in assists.
A three-time member of the Northeast-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Shaw earned the 2012 Fall Assumption College Premier Student-Athlete Award for a perfect 4.0 grade point average. In addition, he earned the 2011 fall and 2012 spring Assumption College Student-Athlete Director’s Citations for a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Shaw was a standout athlete at Presque Isle High School and attended Brewster Academy before enrolling at Assumption.
