Sorority installs new officers
Maine Epsilon Master chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met on April 18 at the home of Jane Crouse. Plans were discussed for the Founder’s Day banquet which will be hosted by the Caribou chapter of Beta Sigma Phi at the Caribou Motor Inn on April 25.
Betsy Fitzherbert gave an update on the Miss Presque Isle pageant sponsored by the chapter. Pam Palm will serve as co-host along with Jason Parent. Members will make refreshments for the tea being held at the Mark and Emily Turner Memorial Library at 1 p.m. on April 27. The pageant will be April 27 at 7 p.m. at Presque Isle High School.
Installation of officers for 2013-14 was held. The new slate of officers are president, Nancy Nichols; vice-president Sue Lougee; recording secretary Jane Crouse; corresponding secretary Betsy Fitzherbert; and treasurer Peggy Erwin.
The next meeting will be on May 16 at 6 p.m. at Cafe Sorpresso.
