MARS HILL NEWS
by Tomi Henderson
April is National Library Month and the Walter T.A. Hansen Memorial Library is happy to be your local source of books and magazines, as well as having several computers available for community use.
If you would like to support the library, you can take your returnable cans and bottles to the local Redemption Center and let them know they are for the library. You can also call the library at 429-9625 to arrange for your returnables to be picked up.
The library is planning on doing another tag sale on two weekends in June: the 14th and 15th and the 21st and 22nd. Hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. all four days. If you would like to donate items for this sale, please call the above number. The library Board of Trustees is very thankful for all the support from the communities it serves.

Rotary Club
The Mars Hill Rotary Club met on Tuesday, April 16, at 6:30 a.m. at the Aroostook Health Center. The special speaker was Wayne Kilcollins, wind power technology program instructor at Northern Maine Community College.
Begun four years ago, Kilcollins has seen two classes graduate. The classes work with the school’s auto body and electrical programs. Unable to find one textbook that covered everything needed, Kilcollins wrote a textbook and companion book for the program. This textbook has been published and other schools have also begun using it. He will update it as changes in technology take place.
Most graduates are working in the state of Maine, although one is in Tennessee and one has gone to work in Finland.
