JOHNSON, Thomas F., 93, CASTLE HILL, at Presque Isle, April 7, 2013. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 10, at 2 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

    CASTLE HILL – Thomas F. Johnson, 93, passed away April 7, 2013, at a Presque Isle Healthcare Facility after a brief illness. He was born on August 7, 1919, in Castle Hill, the son of Frederick T. and Fern (Burtt) Johnson.
    He was awarded the Boston Post Cane for being the oldest citizen in Castle Hill, where he was born and lived the majority of his life. Tom worked for the Town of Castle Hill and served as road commissioner for the towns of Castle Hill, Chapman and Mapleton for a total of 43 years. He was also a member of the Washburn Masonic Lodge #0193 and a member of the Castle Hill Advent Christian Church.
    Thomas is survived by his wife of 74 years, Florence (Richardson) Johnson of Presque Isle; daughters, Adena Wilson of Presque Isle, Brenda Grass and her husband, Duane of Mars Hill, and Sally LaPlante and her husband, Felix of Newberg, OR; a daughter-in-law, Pam Johnson of Presque Isle; his grandchildren, Andrea Smith and her husband, Steven, Lori O’Clair and her husband, James, Todd Wilson and his wife, Rebecca (Becky), Alison Smoldt and her husband, Jeffrey, Charles Wilson and his wife, Tracy, Kevin Grass and his wife, Donna, Beth Cook and her husband, Chris, Andy Grass and his wife, Brittany, Melissa St. Peter and her husband, Brian, and Scott LaPlante; also 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
    In addition to his parents, Thomas was predeceased by his son, Michael T. Johnson; his brother, Stanley P. Johnson; two sisters, Beulah Turner and Helen Libby; and an infant granddaughter, Janelle LaPlante.
    Friends may call 1 – 2 p.m., on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church Street, Presque Isle, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., with Pastor Lucy Lovley and Donald McDaniels officiating.
