Small and Thin

Small and thin,
Skin and bones,
Nothing else.
People stand in horror,
Of what we’ve been through.
No one will ever understand though.
We saw people die before us,
Hoping we weren’t next.
The numbers on us could tell a story.
Some lost faith
Others gained it.
All we had to us,
Were our names.
We are always left behind,
Wondering what we did.
They waited everyday just to kill.
We watched them die,
A huge scar left in our minds.
We are small and thin.
