The Trapping

On a cold, dark, windy Halloween night, as the orange leaves danced in the wind, two best friends named Abbigail and Brittney looked into their candy bags. They knew that they had too much candy, so they decided to go to just one more house.
They finally came across an old, creepy house in the middle of nowhere! The wind screamed as they were walking toward the house. When they stepped on the old, crooked porch, the wooden boards moaned, as if they were going to snap underfoot. Though they were so nervous, they anxiously decided to go in. As Abbigail was about to touch the rusty doorknob, it turned by itself. The door whipped open but when they looked back at the door, no one was there.
Brittney was very brave and independent, but Abbigail was scared of everything and reliant.
“Let’s go in!” suggested Brittney.
“No!” screamed Abbigail.
“Why not?” asked Brittney.
“Because it might be haunted!” commented Abbigail.
“I’ll take my chances, and go in by myself then!” said Brittney.
As Brittney took her first step on the crookedy old floor, a loud noise came from upstairs.
“Brittney, don’t go in there, something is going to happen! I just know it,” warned Abbigail.
But Brittney didn’t listen. She slowly creeped up the stairs. She reached the top step, the front door slammed shut.
“Brittney!” hollered Abbigail. Abbigail wanted to go in to help her, but she was too scared.
Brittney never did come out of the house and Abbigail never did leave the front porch.
Even to this day some people say that Abbigail’s ghost hollers out for Brittney every Halloween night, but Brittney is too trapped to answer!
