Harold “Hank” R. Kierstead, Sr.
KIERSTEAD, Harold “Hank” R., Sr., 62, EASTON, February 22, 2013. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 27, at 1 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
EASTON – Harold “Hank” R. Kierstead, Sr., 62, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 22, 2013, in his hometown of Easton. Hank was born in Presque Isle, the son of Willis and Erma (Green) Kierstead, and stepson of Woodrow (Woodie) Cummings.
Hank owned and operated Hank Kierstead and Sons Logging, as well as operating the apartment buildings he owned in Easton. His favorite times will be remembered as fly fishing (anywhere and everywhere), camping and riding ATVs whenever he had the chance. He was well loved by all who knew him. He was a wonderful husband, father, and the best friend anyone could have. He has too many friends to mention here, but they all know who they are, and the memories Hank cherished with them.
Hank is survived by his wife, Cathy Ann Kierstead; his children, Lance, Barbara and her husband, Christopher Allyn, and J.R. (Harold Jr.) and his girlfriend, Jodi Tash; his step-children, Billy and his wife, Rachael McDivitt, and Katrina and her husband, Adrien Ellis; his grandchildren, Nicholas, MaKala, Kalee, Spencer and Kimberly; and his siblings and their spouses, Elaine and Larry Noyes, Sandy and Bill Ouellette, and Stephen Kierstead and his wife, Tonya Argust. He is also survived by his father- and mother-in-law, Fred and Anita Rattray; sister-in-laws and their spouses, Barb and Phil Halvorson, and Debbie and Steve Rooney; and a special sister-in-law, Bonnie and Roger Plante.
In addition to his parents, Hank was predeceased by his first wife, Sandra Lee Ann Rattray; and a father- and mother-in-law, Leo Paul and Myrtle Jandreau.
Friends and family called on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. and may call from 12-1 p.m., on Wednesday, February 27, at Duncan Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m., the Rev. Kevin Kierstead officiating. A committal service will be held in the spring at Estes Cemetery in Easton.
