What kind of message are we sending

our next generation?

To the editor:

As I read the news in the BDN, the stories regarding the governor of the state of Maine, I have to wonder how our younger generation can learn what I call good politically correct actions.

We try to teach our children good manners and correct language toward others. We also try to teach them to respect our government officials. Do we now ask them to just overlook our governor’s actions and ill behavior.

As I sit here in Florida and watch the Florida governor in his many actions, what do we tell our children, that some day God will have his way and straighten some of these ill-mannered persons’ minds in a more loving perspective for our country and the world that surrounds us.

I am now 74 years old and have not always had everything my way and I probably won’t always in the future. I also read in our Star-Herald some of the letters to the editor coming from someone who in the past lived in The County, wondering if it is the heat or the bright sun that has affected better judgments.
