Rotary Club news
The Mars Hill Rotary Club met Tuesday, Dec. 18 at the Aroostook Health Center. Rotarian Jim Shaw showed a video of the whitewater rafting trip taken with family members last July. They spent the day on the Kennebec River, beginning in Greenville and heading down river. They all enjoyed their time together. Note about this trip – if you don’t want to get totally wet – don‘t do it!!

There will be a benefit supper and auction for Dustin McCrum on Saturday, Jan. 12 at Central Aroostook High School beginning at 6 p.m. Dustin was recently diagnosed with Marfan’s Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder. Because of this, he underwent emergency open heart surgery on Nov. 29. He will be out of work for quite awhile, so funds will be used to help the family with travel and other expenses.
To learn more about Marfan’s Syndrome, go to www.nationalmarfanassociation.com. For more information, to donate items for the auction or to volunteer, please contact Tara McCrum at 551-4384 or Brooke Sperrey at 227-9851.
