STUDENTS LEARN FIRE SAFETY

    PINE STREET ELEMENTARY SCHOOL afternoon students recently took part in activities designed to teach fire safety.

    STUDENTS LEARN FIRE SAFETY — Local students, with the help of firefighters from the Presque Isle Fire Department, recently took part in activities designed to teach them how to be safe in the event of a fire. Winners received T-shirts, sponsored by MMG Insurance, and smoke detectors for their efforts. Morning classroom winners from Pine Street Elementary School, pictured with firefighters, are in front from left: Brody Smith, Mia Brewer, Natayah Collins, Destiny Rossignol, Rhianna Desjardin and Travis Parent. In back: PIFD Deputy Fire Chief Adam Rider, Shepard Hitchcock, Landon McDougal, Orion Ouellette, Ben Willey, Kayla Carter, Garrett LeTeourneau and Firefighter Tony Robichaud.

    A RIDE TO SCHOOL in a fire truck was the top prize during the annual fire safety program, with Presque Isle firefighters visiting Pine Street Elementary students to teach them how to be safe in the event of a fire. The children did a number of activities, with winners each receiving a T-shirt courtesy of MMG Insurance and a smoke detector. Overall winner for the ride in fire truck was Ben Willey, pictured with his mother, Tammy Willey, and Firefighter Tony Robichaud of the PIFD.
