What made you decide to run for the SAD 1 school board?
The quality of education that the students of SAD 1 are receiving is an important issue. The district has ranked as one of the best in the state because of the quality of the team that is educating our students. It is an important issue to keep the high standards of our educators in order to best prepare the students of SAD 1 for their future.

Name: Terry Sandusky
District: 3
What made you decide to run for the SAD 1 school board?
I ran for the SAD 1 school board because I have always had a keen interest in the education and development of children and adolescents.
What do you see as the most important issue facing SAD 1?
Over my years on the board, I have maintained four goals. Goal one is to see that all our children received the best education possible. My second goal is to make sure that the finest teachers and administrators are hired to design and deliver the best educational programs for our children. The third goal is to hold the cost of education at the most reasonable level possible and to right size the district programs and operations as the student enrollment and state funding decline. My fourth goal is to help represent parent and student needs within the district. Advocating for students and families is an important board member duty that assures the best education opportunities are made available to our students.
