NMCC, UMPI
to host presidential debate events
PRESQUE ISLE — The University of Maine at Presque Isle and Northern Maine Community College will mark the 2012 Presidential Election with a series of U.S. presidential debate events during the month of October.
The public is invited to attend these free events. The next debate is Tuesday, Oct. 16, at NMCC in the Edmunds Conference Room, and the last one is Monday, Oct. 22, at UMPI in Folsom Hall Room 105.
Attendees for both events are encouraged to arrive by 8:45 p.m. to take part in audience polling. The televised presidential debates will run from 9-10:30 p.m. and immediately following the program, there will be discussions led by campus officials and general impression polls.
