Deep In the Woods

offers variety of unique items

OXBOW — Our Deep In The Woods Gift Shop is the place to get unique Quality Maine Made Products and more! We are a consignment shop, so you never know what or who will be coming through the door.
We have photography, paintings and prints, gel candles, Christmas ornaments, metal works, wood carvings and crafts, copper fiddlehead art, maple syrup and honey, ploye mixes, jams and jellies, County Quilt Kits, quilts and quilted items, needlework, jewelry, baskets, books, pottery, herbal apothecary, stained glass, porcelain dolls, furniture, bird houses, feeders, and more!
Antique, vintage and collectibles are offered – anything from galvanized watering cans to pink depression glassware.
My latest prints are “Fall Flight-The American Woodcock”, “The Cameron Homestead”, and “The Weeks Homestead.” I am enjoying my art studio and will be offering classes in the future. I teach Adult Ed “Art for All” at Ashland District School.
The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department’s Adult and Senior Fall Into Shape program toured OxBow last fall. Steven and I served them fresh haddock chowder, finger sandwiches and carrot cake. With full bellies, Steven gave them a tour of our Christmas Tree Farm and then onto the gift shop for the grand finale.
Last December we had our first “Demo Day” showcasing two of our artisans. Nancy Paradis and Sue White were here doing demonstrations — good times, stories and food for all! Plans are in the works to do it again this year.
Our Christmas trees are looking great! We support “Trees for Troops.”
Finally, we want to thank all of our customers for their past and future patronage. Without your support, we would not be able to support the local artisans. Customer appreciation comes first at Deep In The Woods. If we don’t have what you are looking for, we try to find it for you or steer you in the right direction. We offer free gift-wrapping; and, as always, the coffee or tea is always on!
