TAMC to establish
permanent locale honoring cancer patients
PRESQUE ISLE — The Aroostook Medical Center (TAMC) and four Aroostook County weekly newspapers will come together on Thursday, August 23, to announce plans to establish a permanent location to honor area residents who have battled cancer.
A paint brush stroke ceremony and press conference will take place in the East Wing Annex building corridor just outside of TAMC’s Aroostook Cancer Care at the A.R. Gould Memorial Hospital on Academy Street, on Thursday, August 23, at 11 a.m.
A second announcement will also be made at the event about a special publication to be printed this fall that will officially launch the collaborative project and be a first of its kind in northern Maine.
