Golf scramble at AVCC set Friday
FORT FAIRFIELD — The second annual Maine Basketball Hall of Fame Golf Scramble will take place Friday, Aug. 3 at Aroostook Valley Country Club.
The four-person Oldsmobile scramble has an 11 a.m. shotgun start. Registration runs from 10-10:45 a.m. The field is limited to the first 40 paid teams. Entry fee is $50 per person and includes a steak or chicken barbecue.
More than $4,000 in prizes will be awarded to the top two gross teams and the top eight net teams. In addition, golfers will have a chance to win two hole-in-one prizes.
Closest to pin and longest drive competitions will also be held. An auction will also take place as part of the event.
