PRESQUE ISLE — A 35-year-old mother from Easton sustained minor injuries when she lost control of her vehicle as she traveled on Route 10 on June 24.
The Presque Isle Police Department received a call around 6:50 p.m. reporting a personal injury accident had occurred on the Easton Road. Officers Joey Seeley and Peter Johnson responded to investigate, with assistance from Officer Rob Thibeault.
“Aimee D. Long, 35, of Easton, was traveling east on Route 10 and rolled her vehicle – a 1998 Ford Explorer. Long was wearing a seatbelt. She, who is 30-weeks pregnant, had abrasions to her neck and face area. Long complained of pain and was transported by Crown Ambulance to The Aroostook Medical Center and admitted to the OB floor,” said Seeley.
Seeley said Long had her 2-year-old daughter in a car seat in the rear of the vehicle. The child was uninjured as a result of the crash. The girl was transported to the hospital with her mother. No word was available at presstime on Long’s condition.
Police continue to investigate the accident.
Also assisting at the scene were BC Towing which removed the vehicle and the Presque Isle Fire Department.
