“If you could buy your father any gift — regardless of cost — for Father’s Day, what would it be and why?”

I’d get him a new truck to work with.

“I would try buying him a new truck … a silver Chevy Silverado.
He has a blue truck now but it almost died.
My Dad was trying to put a boat in shallow water and the throttle was buried in water and water was starting to get in the truck.
It’s fine now, but he’d really like a new truck.
I’d also get him a video camera for hunting.”

“My Dad’s always wanted to take my Mom to Paris so I’d send him for two weeks.
He’s mentioned it a few times, so it would be nice to send him to France.
He’s also always wanted to be in a band, so I’d get him a drum set, a guitar and speakers.”

“I’d probably get him a Father’s Day card and a truck.
He gave me his first truck, so I’d get him one so when I’m old enough to drive we could drive the trucks together.
He collects a lot of parts for cars and stuff, so I’d get him more parts, too.”

“I’d probably buy him a room with exercise equipment like a stationary bike, weights and stuff that he can stretch his muscles with because he loves to exercise.
He has a stationary bike in his room and he jogs and runs all the time.
He can exercise now at home, but he could do more with new equipment.”

“A new fishing rod because his is broken and he really likes to go fishing.
So do I. We go to Madawaska Lake.
We try to catch trout, but if we get a bass we’ll take that, too.
My Dad caught an estimated 15-inch bass and the fishing rod wasn’t that great to begin with and when he started reeling it in, the top part of the fishing pole broke off so he never actually got the fish.”
