JUDKINS, Robert W., 78, GLENBURN, at Bangor, April 19, 2012. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Sat., April 28, at the Funeral home. Arrangements in care of Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, Bangor.

    GLENBURN – Robert W. Judkins, 78, passed away peacefully April 19, 2012, at a Bangor hospital surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born in Holden, MA, September 29, 1933, the son of Harold and Charlotte (Wheeler) Judkins.

    Bob grew up and was educated in Rutland, MA. He then worked for more than 30 years as an engineer at Fitchburg paper. Bob’s greatest love was the outdoors. When living in Massachusetts he loved making the long journey to Maine where he would stay at camp, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling, before finally making the journey one last time, eventually settling in Glenburn. He was active in several snowmobile associations and enjoyed racing of all types, often attending such events.
    Bob is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie (Lyons) Judkins of Glenburn; sons, Steven and wife, Leanne of Waldon, VT, and Michael of Holden; daughter, Robin Olejniczak and husband, Joe of Leicester, NC; step-sons, Donald O’Clair, Jr. of Ashland, and Troy O’Clair of Arizona; a brother, Alan Judkins of Rutland, MA; sister, Jane Murray and husband, Bruce of MA; grandchildren, Samuel, Michael, Aimee, Cherie, Julie, Steven and Keith; step-grandchildren, Logan, Alex, Parker and Brailey; a brother-in-law, Rick Lyons and wife, Pat of Hampden; his mother-in-law, Alice Lyons of Presque Isle; a special niece, Sheila Judkins; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and close friends.
    Bob was predeceased by his first wife, Mona (King) Judkins; his son and fishing companion, Barry; and sister, Judy Judkins.
    A memorial service celebrating Bob’s life will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union Street, Bangor, with the Rev. Richard Hyman officiating.
