PI Girl Scout Troop 1137

    Presque Isle Girl Scout Troop 1137 recently visited the Micmac Museum on the Northern Road in Presque Isle.

Micmac Council member, John Dennis, started the two hour educational event by explaining the tribe’s various displays of handmade baskets, arrowheads, mini wigwams, territorial maps and other tribal artifacts. Afterwards, Chief Rick Getchell led an exciting drumming demonstration,which included a ceremonial dance, led by Chief Getchell’s wife, Tammy.
