The United Baptist Church of Mars Hill invites all children age pre-K through grade 5 to join the Kidz Klub Rally: SpaceQuest — Exploring My Mission with Jesus!
Every day will include an exciting worship rally. Then kids will take off on an adventure filled with Bible stories, a missions story and project, music, crafts, snacks and recreation. Church members are happy to offer this “once in a lifetime” adventure to area children and have a dedicated group of teachers and leaders who have been trained for this incredible voyage into SpaceQuest.
Kidz Klub Rally: SpaceQuest will be held at the United Baptist Church on Church Street May 2-6. Blast off will be each evening at 6 p.m. to explore the mission with Jesus and will end at 8 p.m. On Sunday, blast off will be at 4 p.m. and will end at approximately 6 p.m. The Sunday mission will end with a barbecue for the whole family!
Kidz Klub Rally 2012 will be an event that is too good to miss, so mark your calendars and don’t let your kids miss out on this opportunity to launch into Bible study and tons of stellar fun. For more information, call 429-8069 or 540-6981.
Robin Hood is coming!
The play, “Hood Of Sherwood,” is coming to the Bridgewater Historical Hall on Friday and Saturday, May 4-5 through the generosity of the Smyrna/Merrill Historic Society. Shows are at 6 p.m. on both nights. Seating is limited so organizers urge you to get your tickets early. They are available at the Bridgewater Town Office or by calling 425-7901 or 429-8268. Tickets are on a donation basis. Since this is a joint project, proceeds will benefit both the Bridgewater Historical Association and the Smyrna/Merrill Historic Society. It is a comedic two-act play and dessert will be served at intermission. There will also be a few door prizes. So come on out for a night of fun and laughter. Feel free to come in a costume that goes with the theme of the play to add to the fun. We look forward to seeing you there. Thank you for your support.

Rotary Club
The Mars Hill Rotary Club met Tuesday morning, April 17, at the Aroostook Health Center. The special speaker was Nick Bailey, vice president of the Mars Hill Snowmobile Club. The club works to promote safety and build trails in the local area. They maintain 75-90 miles of trails each year. They currently have 50 family members in the club.
Nick spoke about the clubhouse, which was built in the early 1980s. Their plan of action for the clubhouse includes a new metal roof, more insulation in the ceiling, window replacement and updated bathrooms.
These things will be done as funds and volunteers are available.
