All-Maine Selection
A member of the State Champion Lady Wildcats basketball team has received a statewide honor.
Junior guard Chandler Guerrette was recently named to the Bangor Daily News All-Maine third team.
The BDN All-Maine team recognizes the top 15 players statewide, regardless of class, position or region, as selected by the BDN sports staff with input from coaches, officials and other basketball observers.
Guerrette led the Wildcats to a perfect 22-0 season and the state Class B crown. She was also the Class B girls MVP of the EM tourney.
“She was the leading scorer on a talented team,” coach Jeff Hudson said. “She is a good rebounder for her size, 5-5, she could make plays defensively, she can shoot outside and go inside. There is nothing she can’t do.”
