A member of the Easton High School band, Jessica Bennett, was chosen for the All-State Band. She will be performing with them on May 19 at Orono. Also on May 7 at UMPI there will be an UMPI Community Band which Jessica Bennett and Meghan Frank will be part of.

EPCO

The EPCO is holding its annual penny drive for the month of March. Although it is called a penny march, organizers are more than happy to accept silver coins, dollar bills and checks. The weekly totals for each class are divided by the number of students in that class. This makes it a level collecting field for every class, no matter their size.

Classes will receive a bonus reward for the most rolled coins (anything EPCO members do not have to roll, such as dollar bills and checks). This is one of the few fundraisers that is held each year. This year the group will begin to focus fund-raising efforts on a long-term goal — saving pennies for the purchase of new cafeteria tables. This will benefit the entire school population as well as community organizations that use the cafeteria as well. The group has also been asked to help the high school with the purchase of new lockers, to replace ones that have been in that building for many years. Thank you in advance for your help in this matter.

Box Tops

The EPCO are still collecting Box Tops. The winners of the Box Top Bonanza were grades 2 and kindergarten.
