Troop 726 is a Brownie, Cadette and Senior Girl Scout Troop with girls from Mapleton, Presque Isle and Washburn. Sensei Andy LeBlanc visited Presque Isle Girl Scout Troop 1178 to share some self-defense techniques from his Fight Like a Girl program. Ashland Brownie Troop 1158 began in November 2011. The troop has 12 members and meets on Mondays at the Ashland Town Library. In addition to this badge, the girls have also earned the Brownie Quest Journey and visited the Central Aroostook Human Society for the Pets Badge, and have earned My Family Story, Senses, Meet My Customers, Computer Expert, My Best Self and First Aid (where the girls visited the Ashland Ambulance Service).

Ashland Girl Scout Troop 1151 held a Camp-In in November 2011. The girls worked on their Geocache badges with Ranger Amanda Baker who taught them how to use GPS and a map. TROOP 706 — Girl Scouts from Presque Isle Troop 706 celebrated Christmas with a party this past December. Mapleton Girl Scout Troop 1133 collected donations of cookies to benefit the Caring Area Neighbors for Cancer Education and Recovery (C.A.N.C.E.R.) during their recent cookie sale. The girls presented 111 boxes of cookies to three of the C.A.N.C.E.R. board members at their March 17 meeting.
