TAMC Family Winter Carnival enjoyed by many

    CELEBRATE CENTENNIAL — The materials management team at The Aroostook Medical Center made this snow sculpture cake wishing TAMC a happy 100th birthday. The snowman/snow sculpture contest featured 12 entries.

    TOP CHEF COMPETITION — From left, Vanda Cousins, Connie Durost and Robin Corson pose in front of the dishes they made for TAMC’s Top Chef Competition as part of the Feb. 18-25 TAMC Family Winter Carnival. Judges picked two winners from 11 entries at Aroostook Health Center and A.R. Gould Memorial Hospital. Durost won at Aroostook Health Center with her cranberry meatloaf and salad while Joe Carroll won at A.R. Gould Memorial Hospital with his sweet potato gnocchi with turkey fennel and cranberry stuffing.

    GINA BARD of TAMC’s human resources department takes the plunge during the Red Dress Race and Polar Dip that was part of TAMC’s 2012 Winter Carnival. For the second consecutive year, teams of two competed in the event which had one member running the perimeter of the A.R. Gould campus while the other dipped into a pool of ice water. The event served as a fundraiser to help support employee fitness and health improvement initiatives.

    MANY TAMC EMPLOYEES celebrated winter carnival and TAMC’s centennial by wearing 100 different items last Thursday. Veenie Bouchard of TAMC’s Neuro Rehab got in the spirit by attaching 100 band-aids to her clothes.
