Happy Days Club marks 40th anniversary

CLUB HONORED — Jim Gardner, Easton’s town manager, presented Nina Trask, president of the Happy Days Club, with a certificate to celebrate the organization’s 40th anniversary.
Members of the Happy Days Club are celebrating the organization’s 40th anniversary this year.
The Easton Elementary School students and many teachers celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday on Feb. 23. There were many brightly colored hats, from winter stocking hats, frilly hats, clown hats, police hats and many more. Participants all had fun wearing their different hats and learning more about the famous author. (More photos will appear in this year’s Newspapers in Education supplement.)

Wednesday, March 7 — Junior Activities 9:30-11 a.m. at the Hall. Senior Exercise Class at 1 p.m. in the Recreation Room at the Manor. Grades 5 and 6 grade basketball games vs. Mars Hill at 3:15 and 4 p.m.
Thursday, March 8 — Little Bears grades 1 and 2 basketball practice from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. Grades 5 and 6 basketball at Washburn; games at 4 and 4:45 p.m. Zumba class 6 to 7 p.m. in the elementary school gym.
Friday, March 9 — Junior Activities 9:30-11 a.m. at the Hall. Seniors game day in the Rec Room at the Manor starting at 11:15 a.m. Please bring a bag lunch.
Grades 5 and 6 girls practice from 3 to 4:15 p.m. Little Bears (grades 1 and 2) to play at Mars Hill Winterfest at 6 p.m. at CAHS.
Saturday, March10 — Grades 5 and 6 girls’ basketball round robin in Presque Isle; times TBA.
Monday, March 12 — Senior Nutrition class starting at 11 a.m. in the Recreation Room at the Manor. The cost is $3. Final swim lesson after school until 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday, March 13 — Final Zumbatomic class at Hall after school until 4 p.m. Grades 5 and 6 basketball at Mars Hill; games at 4:30 and 5:15 p.m. Zumba class 6 to 7 p.m. in the elementary school gym.
