Healthy Aroostook and Power of Prevention will be hosting a Healthy Homes Seminar in mid-March in Presque Isle, Houlton and Fort Kent.
Participants will learn what it takes to have a healthy home. This seminar is targeted at parents, homeowners, landlords and anyone interested in learning how to ensure you and your family are living in a “healthy home.” Three convenient opportunities are scheduled throughout the County, allowing participants the ability to register at the closest location.
Issues to be discussed include: lead paint hazards, asbestos, radon, carbon monoxide, mold, rodent control and bed bugs.
Also, a local code enforcement officer will present related laws and regulations, with a question-and-answer period to follow.
All registered participants will receive a free cleaning bucket with supplies (a $15 value).
Seminars are slated 6-8 p.m. in the following communities: Presque Isle on Tuesday, March 13; Houlton on Wednesday, March 14; and Fort Kent on Thursday, March 15.
