The Washburn Trail Runners’ clubhouse has been a busy place the past few weeks, as snowmobilers from far and near hit the trails to enjoy some outdoor recreation. On Saturday, Feb. 11, AMHC’s Andy Santerre Sno-Run participants stopped by to say hello, on their trip from Caribou to lunch at the Presque Isle Snowmobile Club. Later that night, club member and Washburn resident Carroll Sperrey was honored at the dinner at the Crow’s Nest for being one of the oldest riders to take part in the run.
Trails are well-maintained, with grooming done regularly to provide the optimal riding experience.
Weekends have been busy for kitchen staff, with the clubhouse open for breakfast and lunch as follows: Fridays, 8 a.m. to noon; Saturdays, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Sundays, 7 a.m. to noon. The clubhouse will also be open the week of Feb. 20 during school vacation. For more information on the clubhouse or to peruse a menu, visit the organization on Facebook.
The club also has a selection of winter accessories, including hats and mittens, as well as items with the club’s decal.
