AUGUSTA — Major General (Ret.) John W. Libby, The Adjutant General, Maine National Guard, has announced the promotion to the rank specified below for the following Maine Army National Guard soldier: John Wells IV, SSG, 133RD Forward Support Company. Wells, of Presque Isle, received the promotion in January.
Edgecomb earns degree
STANDISH — The following local resident earned their degree at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine: Jay Edgecomb, of Fort Fairfield, received a master of science in education.
Coty, Ireland make dean’s list
MACHIAS — The following local residents were among more than 260 students from the University of Maine at Machias who were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2011 semester: Stacy Coty, of Fort Fairfield, and Tessa Ireland, of Presque Isle.
