Think Pink Day
The University of Maine at Presque Isle Basketball teams will host Virginia-Lynchburg in Wieden Gymnasium on Feb. 12 and activities to raise money for the American Cancer Society will be taking place at those games. The public is invited to take part in the event that will kick off with the women’s game at 1 p.m. and the men’s game immediately following. During the games, there will be items for sale including: pink t-shirts, lanyards, and pink basketballs. Those in attendance can also donate their loose change by “feeding the jug.” Spectators are encouraged to wear pink clothing at the event to show their support. All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society via the UMPI Owls Relay for Life team. For more information about this event, contact Laurie Boucher at 768-9512.
