Annelise Wardwell, an eighth-grader at Cornerstone Christian Academy, became the 2012 School Spelling Bee Champion by correctly spelling the word “faithful” at the school spelling bee held on January 12.
Wardwell and the school’s runner-up, eighth-grader Emily Robinson, will compete in the County Spelling Bee on Friday, February 10, at 6 p.m. in Fox Auditorium on the UMFK campus.
As school champion, Wardwell received a free semester of Powerspeak12, an online foreign language course.
Wardwell is the daughter of Scott and Angela Wardwell of Presque Isle.
Emily Robinson
of Cornerstone Christian Academy will be competing in the County Spelling Bee on Friday at 6 p.m. at the Fox Auditorium on the UMFK campus.
Robinson is the daughter of Jay and Gail Robinson of Mars Hill.
