EASTON – Michael J. Adams, 63, husband of Suzanne J. (Wilson) Adams, passed away Monday morning, November 14, 2011, at a Bangor healthcare facility, after a brief illness. He was born July 8, 1948, in Fort Fairfield, the son of Milford H. and Flora (Jenkins) Adams.

He was a graduate of the Easton High School, Class of 1966 and went on to further his education at the University of Maine at Orono, receiving his degree in Agra-business in 1968.

Michael was married to Suzanne J. Wilson on July 10, 1968, and pursued his passion in life, farming, for most of his years. He also served as a fire chief for the town of Easton for several years and generously supported various area clubs including the Easton Snowmobile and ATV Clubs.

Michael greatly enjoyed visits at his home from his many friends, even during his period of declining health.

In addition to his parents, Michael was predeceased by his daughter, Natalie Jo Adams in 1970; and his sister, Ann V. Adams in 2009.

He is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Suzanne; two sons, Clinton Adams and his wife, Kristie, and Cameron Adams; two grandsons, Mason and Max Adams, all of Easton; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was conducted Monday, November 21, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Estes Park Cemetery, Easton, with the Rev. Larry Palmer officiating. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Adams to the charity or organization of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
