Experience an evening full of local talent and patriotic music, when the Caribou Children’s Discovery Museum and Cary Medical Center presents “A Patriotic Concert” on Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Caribou Performing Arts Center. Admission is $10 per person.
“We just thought that 11-11-11 would be a perfect opportunity to honor our veterans and those serving in the armed forces as well as celebrate the talent that is so impressive here in Aroostook County,” said Nancy Chandler, president of the Caribou Children’s Discovery Museum board of directors.
Local talent performing during the Nov. 11 program will include: Annie Charles, John Gorman, Jan LaPoint, Kim Parent, Joseph King, Julie Shaw, Chloe Wheeler, Melanie Saucier, The Maine Dance Academy and members of the Loring Job Corps Color Guard.
The first 300 individuals (or couples) who arrive at the concert will receive a free, mini-size American Flag. Raffle tickets will also be sold for a chance to become the owner of a flag, which has been flown over the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. Raffle tickets, are $1 each or six for $5.
Don’t miss this chance to remember and honor local veterans through patriotic music and dance.
Proceeds from the evening’s performance will benefit the Caribou Children’s Discovery Museum and the Northern Maine Veterans’ Cemetery Fund.
Tickets are available at the following locations: Aroostook Centre Mall in Presque Isle, Caribou Food Trend, Mr. Paperback and the Caribou Chamber of Commerce.
