Koch and Bragg win Aroostook League races
WASHBURN — Two Washburn District High School farriers, running on their home course Thursday, claimed Aroostook League Cross Country Championship titles
Carsyn Koch finished the 2.86-mile course in 18:43 to win the girls’ race. Nick Bragg crossed the line first for the boys in 17:28.

Rounding out the top 10 for the girls were: Carmen Bragg (20:13) and Mackenzie Worcester (21:33) of WDHS, Destinee Neureuther (21:51) of Greater Houlton Christian Academy, Marianne Helton (22:46) of WDHS, Helen Roberts (23:17) of Limestone Community School/MSSM, Kelsey Pelletier (23:38) of Fort Kent High School, Joan Overman (23:48) of WDHS, Cassidy Spencer (24:10) of FKHS and Lauren Robertson (24:10) of GHCA.
Following Bragg in the boys’ race were: Micah Willey (18:04) of GHCA, Nick Lunn (18:30) of Hodgdon High School, Michael Ericson (20:41) of WDHS, Ethan Holmes (20:46.8) of GHCA, Anthony Viola (20:48.9) of WDHS, Russell Socoby (20:57) of GHCA, Eric Deschene (20:58) of FKHS, Alex Angetti (23:11) of GHCA and Tom Weyeneth (23:19) of FKHS.
