2011 wrap up

Another golf season is almost over and the Presque Isle Country Club is saluting the champions from this summer.

In the Club Championship Hunter Flynn won the Junior-Junior division and Evan Waddell the Junior title.

Christine Corsello won the Ladies A Flight, followed by Darlene Higgins in the B Flight, Joy Davis in C Flight and Joan Lothrop in the Senior division.

MENS TWILIGHT WINNERS — From left, Phil Pelletier and Gary Bowden won the Mens Twilight League at Presque Isle Country Club for 2011.

 

For the men, Todd Newlands won the A Flight match play and Ralph Michaud medal play. Cody Merrill was the B Flight champion, Scott Wyman C Flight, Curtis Culberson Senior and Genn Carson Super Senior.

Joan Lothrop and Stephen Sweetser won the President’s Cup.

The Memorial Tournament was won by Michael Hersey and Allan Woollard.

Bryce and Evan Waddell claimed the title in the Junior division for Parent/Child. David and Michelle Wyman claimed the Senior title.

COUPLES NIGHT WINNERS — Elton and Caroline Thibodeau proudly hold the Couples Night Cup for their efforts on the Presque Isle Country Club course this past summer.

The winners in the Husband and Wife Championship were Charles and Margaret Violette for low gross and Brad and Erica Boyles for low net.

Francine Soucy and Margaret Violette were the Ladies Twilight League winners. Gary Bowden and Phil Pelletier claim the Mens Twilight League crown.

Coca-Cola Spudland Open winners were Kent Johnson for low gross, Dylan Carter for low net and the Joseph J. Freeman Award, for low score for a PICC member, went to Phil Pelletier.

Most Improved Golfer honors go to Christine Corsello and Colby Doody.

PICC has four holes-in-one this season. Michael Calabrese aced #8 on June 15, Michael Hersey #16 on June 18, Eric Dill #4 on June 22 and Chris Lambert #16 on Sept. 13.
