PATTERSON, Arlette S., 83, AMHERST, MA, January 6, 2011. A celebration of her life will be held at the United Baptist Church in Mars Hill on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at 2 p.m. Interment will be at the Pierce Cemetery, Mars Hill.

AMHERST, MA – Arlette S. Patterson passed away peacefully at home on January 6, 2011. She was born in Blaine, ME on August 26, 1927 to Darrell and Ruth (Dow) Beem.

She graduated from Aroostook Central Institute with honors in 1946. She married her high school sweetheart on Christmas Eve, 1946, and loved him with all her heart until his passing on December 21, 2001. Arlette and Robert had three children, Robert, her caring son who predeceased her, Anne and Bruce.

Arlette was a gracious hostess who made everyone welcome in her home. Her kindness and love will be missed but never forgotten.

Besides her parents and her husband, Arlette was predeceased by her oldest son, Robert; and a loving granddaughter, Jennifer.

She is survived by her son, Bruce and his wife, Galina, and their two sons, Nicholas and Philip, who will miss their grandmother greatly; her daughter, Anne, and her husband, Ray; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by a dear, longtime friend, Frances Banks, of Mars Hill.

A celebration of Arlette’s beautiful life will be held at the United Baptist Church in Mars Hill on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at 2 p.m. Interment will be at the Pierce Cemetery in Mars Hill, ME.
