BARNES, Reginald Lee, 68, of Danforth, died Monday, June 18, 2007 at a health care facility in Houlton. Funeral Services will be held 2PM Thursday, June 21, 2007 at the Washburn Pentecostal Church. Relatives and friends may call 1 – 2 PM at the church.
DANFORTH – Reginald Lee Barnes 68, died Monday morning June 18, 2007 at a health care facility in Houlton. He was born in Washburn on Feb. 27, 1939, the son of Ervin and Ruth (Higgins) Barnes. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1961-1964. Reginald worked at McCain Foods in Washburn and retired from the Bangor Savings Bank in Bangor as a maintenance man. He was an avid Red Sox and early Celtics fan. He enjoyed listening to music on his stereo system.
Reginald is survived by three sons, Terry of Danforth, Bruce and his wife Lynnette of Bangor, Reginald Jr. and his wife Dawne of Bangor, a daughter Rhonda Barnes and her companion Mitch Frye of Danforth, two brothers Marvin Barnes and his wife Marie of Conn., Stephen Barnes of Bangor, a sister Dawn Peters of Bangor, six grandchildren; Benjamin, Micah, Joshua, Tawnie, Mikayla, and Deven.
Funeral services will be held 2PM Thursday June 21, 2007 at the Washburn Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Bruce Blakney officiating. Relatives and friends may call 1 – 2PM at the church. Interment will be at Hillside Grove Cemetery, Crouseville. Donations may be made in memory of Reginald to Hospice of Aroostook PO Box 688, Caribou, Me. 04736.
