NIBLETT, Margaret L. “Peggy”, 67, EASTON, at Portland, August 11, 2011. Arrangements are in the care of Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield.

EASTON – Margaret L. “Peggy” Niblett, 67, wife of Samuel Niblett III, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday morning, August 11, 2011, at a Portland healthcare facility, after an extended illness. She was born February 20, 1944, in New Rochelle, New York, the daughter of Edward J. and Ruth (Heyman) Lamm.

Peggy was a graduate of the Mamaroneck, New York High School, and furthered her education at Simmons School of Nursing, Boston, MA. She was married to Samuel Niblett III on December 18, 1965, had been an active member of the Easton Wesleyan Church for many years, was a member of the Maine Agra Women, and was involved with several Light the Night Leukemia Lymphoma walks in Presque Isle. Peggy’s passion in life was helping others, and was a great source of strength and inspiration to others afflicted with leukemia or lymphoma.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was predeceased by her father-in-law, Samuel Niblett Jr.

She is survived by her husband of forty-five years, Samuel Niblett III of Easton; one son and daughter-in-law, Edward “Ted” Niblett and Marissa Hendrickson of Minneapolis, MN; one daughter and son-in-law, Karin and Nicholas Rigg of East Sussex, England; one sister, Barbara Golden-berg of New York, NY; four grandchildren: Justin and Marcus Rigg of East Sussex, England, Annabelle and Max Niblett of Minneapolis, MN. She also leaves behind her mother-in-law, Margery Niblett of Easton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends called Monday, August 15, 2011, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. The funeral service was conducted on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at 1 p.m., at the Easton Wesleyan Church, 210 Center Road, Easton, with the Rev. Rob McDowell and the Rev. Vaughn Martin co-officiating. Interment took place at Estes Park Cemetery, Easton. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments was held at the Easton Wesleyan Church reception area immediately after the interment service.
