Bake sale benefits pantry
Men of Prayer, a Christian prayer fellowship in Presque Isle, will conduct an auction and bake sale to raise funds for Christ Built Ministries and the Raven Food Pantry. The auction money will be used to purchase and install a heating system at The Raven Center, 18 Roberts St., Presque Isle.
Raven Food Pantry currently delivers boxes of food to well over 150 clients, free of charge. The building also houses a free clothing bank. Several other ministries use this facility and all ministries are staffed by volunteers. The building, formerly Garland’s Electric, was in great disrepair when Christ Built Ministries, Inc. purchased it in August of 2010. It is one of the oldest buildings in Presque Isle (circa 1870).
We are currently seeking items to sell at the auction. These may include nice used items, new items, gift certificates, collectibles and more.
The auction will happen on Sept. 24, at The Raven Center, 18 Roberts Street here in Presque Isle.Items will be accepted through to Sept. 12. If you would like to donate items or make a direct donation to the Raven Food Pantry, call Paul at 551-8343 or Dean at 551-3668.
