Computer electronics grads gain certifications
PRESQUE ISLE — Thanks to a continued educational collaboration between Northern Maine Community College, Microsoft and the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), 12 recent graduates from NMCC’s computer electronics program can now add a series of tech savvy certifications to their resumes to accompany the diplomas they received at commencement.
CompTIA is an association representing the information technology industry that has continued to provide students enrolled in the college’s computer electronics program and the employers who hire them upon graduation a significant professional advantage. The partnerships between the three organizations allow the college to administer more than half a dozen certification examinations on the Presque Isle campus as part of the computer electronics associate degree program curriculum.
