Roberts receives ag award
PRESQUE ISLE — Katharine A. Roberts, a 2011 graduate of Presque Isle High School, was recently presented the school’s highest agricultural honor, the DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award, sponsored by Monsanto Co.
Roberts, the daughter of Dawn and Philip Roberts, was nominated by her FFA adviser, Aaron Buzza, for the award for excellence in academics, leadership and agricultural work experience. Her significant experiences and accomplishments included being the president of the PIHS FFA chapter, attending Nationals in Indiana last May, earning her state FFA degree, and being the recipient of the Agricultural Sales Proficiency award.
This year, the DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award celebrates its 64th anniversary.
