PRESQUE ISLE — Whether you’re short on time, not sure what to prepare, have to feed a large group at a business or private function or just don’t like to cook, The Crow’s Nest offers a local solution to meet the food needs of any occasion year-round — be it indoor, outdoor.

“We’re building on our strong reputation for serving fresh, quality food within our restaurant and our event center, with the Crow’s Nest introducing our new catering service,” said Jan Lucas, events manager.

Lucas said the business has received a lot of inquiries about catering and realized this was a need that they’d be able to meet, since the restaurant and event center has a great kitchen and staff capable of handling the additional business.

“Whatever your catering requirement, The Crow’s Nest can provide service at your business, your home or even your camp. We can also provide a certified personal chef service for those times when you wish to entertain business clients or friends,” said Lucas. “We pride ourselves in offering an honest and reliable service.”

COOKED TO PERFECTION — The Crow’s Nest Restaurant and Event Center, LLC, located at 150 Maysville Street in Presque Isle, is now catering events — whether a large business function or a small family gathering. Staff can prepare meals based on a variety of options. Pictured is Executive Chef Joe Gervais slicing a roast prepared in the establishment’s well-equipped kitchen. Doesn’t it make your mouth water?

No matter the size of event being planned, Lucas said the staff is well-trained to handle any event.

“All our chefs have catering experience. Whether you are planning an intimate soiree or a large gathering, we will help you create a special event that will delight your guests and you,” she said.

Customers can select from a menu of food options or can make special requests when planning a catered function.

“We will work with you to customize your personal preferences or you can select from our wide assortment of menus. Our services cover breakfasts, lunches, cocktail parties, children’s parties, informal and formal dinners, barbecues, reunions and more. Whatever your requirement, we can cater it,” said Lucas.

Or, if you prefer, food can be prepared in advance and picked up, then served at the customer’s convenience.

“We also offer meal packages. Let us put together your barbecue or party requirements for you to cook at home, or even bring us your dishes and we’ll prepare the food in dishes of your choice. We fill them and they’re ready to cook at your leisure,” Lucas said.

The facility has a liquor license which allows it to serve alcohol at catered affairs.

“The Crow’s Nest is fully licensed and can supply a full bar for your event. We can also provide linens, tableware and wait staff,” said Lucas.

SPECIAL EVENTS are a piece of cake for The Crow’s Nest, with plenty of space for any gathering, be it a wedding, business meeting, birthday party or some other function. The business offers a full-service meeting place, from spacious rooms to dining requirements. Remember to reserve space early — the Events Center is a busy place and dates are quickly being spoken for.

In addition to catering, The Crow’s Nest has expanded its restaurant services to include live entertainment.

“We now have live performances — DJs and musicians — not only during special gatherings in the events center but also in the dining area. We’re currently offering patrons the opportunity to dance to DJ Jake Ball on Friday and Saturday nights, beginning at 9 p.m.,” Lucas said.

Since opening last fall, The Crow’s Nest has seen business grow, especially in the events center.

“We’ve hosted a number of fund-raising banquets for many local charities; worked with a number of wedding parties on receptions, rehearsal dinners and wedding ceremonies; held job and trade fairs; and played host to seminars, conferences, retreats, sweet 16 parties, proms, reunions, birthdays, anniversaries, dinner theater, biathlon athletes, craft and health fairs and more,” said Lucas, noting plans are in the works for a major event come October. “We’re busy putting together our first Octoberfest event and will have more details on that at a later date.”
