2011 Summer Food Services Program
The SAD 1 Food Service Department’s Summer Food Services Program began June 20.
This program is administered nationally by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Services, and was established to ensure that children continue to receive nutritious meals during summer school vacations. All children 18 and under are eligible and are encouraged to participate in this free meals program. No pre-registration or proof of income is required.
Breakfast will be available from June 20 to August 5 at the following locations and times: Birch Street Apartments, 8 a.m. to 8:20 a.m.; Ray View Manor on Carmichael Street, 8:25 to 8:35 a.m.; Exchange Street, 8:15 to 8:30 a.m.; Helen Noreen Apartments, 8:25 to 8:40 a.m.; Zippel Elementary, 8:00 to 8:30 a.m.; Micmac Housing playground on Summit Drive, 8:00 to 8:20 a.m.; Bridgewater Recreation Center, 9:00 to 9:30 a.m.; and Easton Odd Fellows Hall, 8:30 to 9:00 a.m.
Lunch will be served from June 20 to August 5 at the following locations and times: Birch Street Apartments, 11:00 to 11:25 a.m.; Ray View Manor on Carmichael Street, 11:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; Exchange Street, 12:05 to 12:20 p.m.; Helen Noreen Apartments, 11:25 to 11:50 a.m.; Zippel Elementary, 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Micmac Housing playground on Summit Drive, 11:00 to 11:20 a.m.; Presque Isle Pool back parking lot, 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; Pine Street Elementary, 11:15 to 11:30 a.m.; Riverside Park, 11:40 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; Bridgewater Recreation Center, 12:00 to 12:30 p.m.; and Easton Odd Fellows Hall, 12:00 to 12:30 p.m.
Meals will be served Monday to Friday unless otherwise specified. No meals will be served on Monday, July 4. Federal regulations and proper sanitation practices require that all meals must be eaten at the delivery site. For more information, contact Kathy Allen, food service director at 764-0792.
