PRESQUE ISLE – Anita Rae Pelkey, 82, passed away April 13, 2011, at her residence in Presque Isle. She was born on May 3, 1928, in Mapleton, the daughter of Ray and Euda (Brown) Lovley.

Anita retired from The Aroostook Medical Center, where she worked as a devoted and caring certified nurses’ aide. She loved and enjoyed her cat Cricket.

Anita is survived by a son, Charles Swett of Rexford, Montana; a daughter, Vicki Jackson and her husband, Bob of Presque Isle; five grandchildren:  Jody Swett, Kristy Discipio, Karolyn Saput, Jamie Guerrette, and Shelley Wortman; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A special friend, Betty Curran; and a special neighbor, Beverly.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church Street, Presque Isle, with the Rev. Larry Palmer officiating.
