Climbing trip slated

The University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Outdoor Adventure Program International (OAPI) offers a series of adventures for campus and community members to enjoy.

The spring semester events schedule wraps up May 7 with Outdoor Rock Climbing in Acadia National Park. The rain date for this event is May 8. The public is invited to join PCIA rock climbing guide, Lenny Cole, and explore the cliffs of Acadia National Park. The public may attend this event for $55 and can begin signing up beginning Monday, April 25. The registration deadline is May 4 by 4 p.m.

Snowshoes, skis, tents, sleeping bags, canoes, kayaks, etc. may be rented for a nominal fee, including a $20 deposit at time of rental, through OAPI. Those wishing to rent gear are advised to check on availability and reserve gear in advance through Kim McCrea, assistant director of Gentile Hall and manager of OAPI.
