PRESQUE ISLE — City officials are hoping a survey and public input at an upcoming meeting will help the community grow and prosper in the years ahead.

The city of Presque Isle’s Planning Committee is seeking feedback from all individuals who have a vested interest in the municipality to assist them in the creation of a comprehensive strategic plan. In an effort to promote community involvement and collaborative partnerships, the committee has created a City Survey, accessible through the city of Presque Isle’s website, and scheduled a community meeting.

“This is an exciting opportunity for residents and stakeholders in the city of Presque Isle to participate in planning the future of our community. It is my hope that through this process we will establish a clear vision that best serves the community of Presque Isle,” said Strategic Planning Committee Vice Chairperson Scott Violette.

According to Violette, the City Survey contains a brief list of 11 questions that provides stakeholders the opportunity to offer candid feedback about the community. The questionnaire will be available to the public from April 1 through April 30 and can be accessed by visiting: www.presqueisle.govoffice2.com.

Violette said the community meeting is “another opportunity for stakeholders to meet the Strategic Planning Committee members and have a face-to-face conversation about the future of Presque Isle.”

The Committee is looking for suggestions on the community’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 26, at 6 p.m. at the William V. Haskell Recreation Center on Main Street.
