MAYNARD, Donald E. Sr., 83, WADE, at Caribou, March 12, 2011. There will be no services. Arrangements are in care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

American Flag ColorWADE – Donald E. Maynard Sr., 83, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011, at the Maine Veterans Home in Caribou, surrounded by his family. Donald was born January 18, 1928, in Presque Isle, the son of Robert E. and Della (Brooker) Maynard.

Donald served in the U.S. Army from 1946-1947, being stationed at Fort Dix in New Jersey. He worked for forty years, first at State Road Grainery, then at M.P.G. Grainery. He also enjoyed raising cows for many years. He also loved hunting and fishing, and this last fall, shot a buck.

He is survived by six children: Donald Jr. and his wife, Julee of Mapleton, Russell and his wife, Beverly of Mapleton, Michael and his wife, Barbara of Perham, Fred and his wife, Tamria of Wade, Holly Bonderson and her husband, Kevin of Salem, Alabama, and Wesley of Wade; fifteen grand-children; and twelve great- grandchildren; Jonathan Maynard and his wife, Lyndsey and their two children: Jackson and Jorja; Wade Maynard and his wife, Beth and their three children: Devin, Mason, and Addison; Spencer Maynard and his wife, Heather and their two children: Kirsten and Mallory; Jaime Jones and her husband, Brian and their two children: Lydia and Andrew; Joshua Maynard; Jesse Maynard; Jill Codrey and her husband, Jonathan; Liza Maynard; Casey Maynard; Anna Bonderson; Gabriel Bonderson; Robert Maynard and his wife, Lisa and their three children: Bekkah, Lucas, and Andrew; Zachary Maynard; Devon Maynard; and Jacob Maynard. He also leaves behind a brother, Richard Maynard of Mapleton; and a sister, Irene Griffith of Texas; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Anna E. (Harris) Maynard on March 5, 1985; a daughter, Rhonda Walker on October 8, 1987; a sister, Charlotte Neddeau; and two brothers: Philip and Robert.
