BOUTOT, Rowena “Rena” M., 82, PORTAGE LAKE, March 13, 2011. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, Portage Lake, at 11 a.m., on Friday. Spring interment will be in the Portage Lake Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Ouellette Funeral Home, Ashland.

PORTAGE LAKE – Rowena “Rena” M. Boutot, 82, died March 13, 2011, at her home in Portage Lake, with her family at her side. She was born at Portage Lake, June 1, 1928, the daughter of Joseph and Angeline (York) Beaulier.

She had been employed as a clerk at Coffin’s Store in Portage for 29 years.

Rena is survived by six children: Richard Boutot and his wife, Louise of Carmel, Lenny Boutot and his wife, Marion “Sam” of Gallup, New Mexico, Patricia (Boutot) Robichaud, Angeline “Angie” Boutot and life partner, Rudy Boutot, Bradford Boutot and companion, Tammy Gilman, all of Portage Lake, and Donald Boutot and his life partner, Tom Carter of Freeport; one brother, Joseph Beaulier Jr. of Bangor; two sisters: Bertha McFarlin of Hermon, and Isabel DuBroc and her husband, Edward of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren: Denise Hall and her husband, Robin, Michelle Gaboreault and her husband, John, Jeremy Boutot and his wife, Beth, Matthew Boutot and his wife, Missy, Bobbi-Jo Caron and her husband, Zenon, Adam Boutot and his wife, Ashley, and Tanya Mastro and her husband, Travis; ten great-grandchildren: Bryon, Rebecca and Caleb Boutot, Austin and Haley Gaboreault, Shawn, Blayne and Aimsley Boutot, and Teagen and Trenten Mastro; four great-great-grandchildren: Kallie, Joseph, Jacob and Jayden Boutot.

She was predeceased by her husband, Maxime Boutot in 1991; by two sons: Ronald Boutot in 1948, and Bryon Boutot in 1993; daughter-in-law, Kathy Boutot in 1993; brothers: Henry, Wilfred, David, Delbert and Raymond Beaulier; sisters: Arlene and Rose Beaulier, Louise Shaw and Gertrude King.

She was active in the Red Hat Society in Portage, known as the Portage Lake Loonies. She loved to bowl and was on a bowling league at Northern Lanes in Presque Isle. She loved playing cards with family and her dear friends. She had many lifelong friends in and away from Portage and know that she is smiling down on all of us. She has gone home to rest and when we have that feeling of warmth, we all will know that it is her arms around us.

At her request, there will be visiting hours from 9 a.m. to time of service on Friday. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, Portage Lake, at 11 a.m., on Friday. Spring interment will be in the Portage Lake Municipal Cemetery.
